170 new buddies for Running Blind
As a supporter of all runners, Nationale-Nederlanden also helps make the sport more inclusive. That’s why we centered the partnership with Stichting Running Blind in an activation campaign during the NN Zevenheuvelenloop. The goal was to raise awareness about inclusive sports and recruit buddies for visually impaired runners.
The NN Running Blind Weekend has now become the largest running event for people with a visual impairment. Thanks to support to the start and finish lines, bib numbers in braille, dedicated start waves, finish ribbons, medals, and a beautiful trophy, there is no more accessible event on the calendar.
Through this initiative, Stichting Running Blind welcomed 170 new buddies—340% above the target. With a PR value of around €50,000 and a potential reach of 8 million people, it has become a yearly success.
